According to Charles David, "Something In The Wind" is one of the films that Deanna doesn't watch. I would imagine that she didn't think the script was very good, although she would of enjoyed working with John Dall and Donald O'Connor during the production!!
I wasn't crazy about the "new" Deanna Durbin. She was already admired by the public for her sweet personality and gorgeous looks so I don't think the change was needed.

Yes, Deanna was still admired by her many fans, but she was no longer at the height of her career and her films weren't as popular like they were when Joe Pasternak was her producer.
Universal were paying Deanna huge amounts of money under contract. I'm guessing it may of been the Studio's idea to try something new to attract the patrons to the theatres to see a revitalized Deanna??
I think the best part of the film would have to be when Deanna sings "The Turntable Song" at the radio station at the beginning. She looks like a million dollars and the song is really entertaining!
